Alcohol will not kill scabies! When dealing with a scabies infection you need to use specific scabies treatments as the mites can be hard to get rid of as you need to kill all mites and eggs completely from the body. Scabies are constantly reproducing which means you have more than a few mites on your skin, in most cases the average person has 12-14 mites on their body. The longer you go without scabies treatment the more scabies mites you will have which results in more debris, more itching and more rashes.
Rubbing alcohol will have no effect on scabies but can help prevent secondary skin infections if placed on open wounds. You can however use a bleach solution to use on surfaces within your home to kill scabies. Bleach will not kill scabies on your body as it will do more damage than good as it can destroy your protective layer of skin which protects your body from infections.
